Geox
In the 1990s, during a business trip, Mario Moretti Polegato found himself hiking in the Nevada desert. Tired of the intense heat, he poked holes in the bottom of his shoes to get relief. This simple gesture inspired a revolutionary idea: to use an innovative material, Teflon, to create shoes with breathable and water-repellent soles. With this intuition, Mario founded the Geox brand, combining the word "geo" (earth) with the letter "X" which represents technology. In addition to footwear, Geox has also extended its technology to clothing, offering elegant and functional garments for men, women and children WHICH STILL TODAY OCCUPY THE TOP PLACES IN THE FASHION LANDSCAPE.
